Additional Information
My background spans traditional and digital media, including graphics, set design, and concept art for film and television. My foundation in classical drawing and painting, self-taught over decades, complements my mastery of digital tools acquired through persistent learning and hands-on experience. This unique combination allows me to teach students both timeless artistic principles and cutting-edge digital techniques.
After moving to Vancouver in 2009 and becoming a Canadian citizen, I deepened my skills by studying Visual Effects, Classical Drawing, and Storytelling at Vancouver Film School and Langara College. My experience led to teaching roles at Langara College, where I have spent nearly four years guiding students in creative arts and art direction for film and TV.
My teaching philosophy emphasizes adaptability, problem-solving, and a growth mindset. I strive to inspire students by showing them how persistence and continuous learning unlock creative potential. Whether teaching the fundamentals of drawing or advanced digital techniques, my goal is to help students find their unique artistic voice and develop the confidence to pursue their creative ambitions.
I am excited about the opportunity to share my experiences and mentor new generations of artists, empowering them to thrive in an ever-evolving creative landscape.
I consider myself a creative and self-starter person, easy to work with.
